Jerry's Jam (Jerry McEver Memorial Jazz Jam at Carrie's Corner)

On the one month anniversary of our friend’s passing, would like to honor him with a musical send-off to celebrate his life and everything he meant to our Atlanta music community!

We will open up our space around at 2pm and at 3 PM will start an open Jam hosted by Joe Gransden (also on trumpet), Geoff Hayden (keys), Craig Shaw (bass) and Chris Burroughs (drums). Bring your instruments and good vibes to sit in, share a song and / or a few words about Jerry.

We have a full PA and our friend Sulli Sullivan will be running sound (as she does for all of our Carrie’s Corner shows).

Bring music stands if you need them. We have a few mic stands and mics, a couple of DI boxes as well.

Our friend Bob Gennovario will be smokin’ up some BBQ and sharing with everyone.
We’ll grab some beer but feel free to BYOB and make yourself at home.

No charge. Come as you are and bring the love. We will also be taking donations for The Gift of Music Foundation- an organization everyone knows was near and dear to Jerry’s heart.

If you think you might attend please RSVP here so we have an idea of what to expect traffic-wise. We have a good size outdoor venue space but capacity is still limited.

ADDRESS and ENTRY: 1320 Shadowood Trail, Marietta (Corner of Shadowood and Autumn leaves way). We have a big brown fence around the back yard – hard to miss it! Also look for balloons! The entrance will be through our backyard gate, located to the left of our driveway.

We have some seating available but space is limited. We encourage everyone to bring camp chairs / beach chairs / blankets and make themselves at home. We have some spots that are more
conducive to blankets than chairs so feel free to plan accordingly to make sure you are as comfortable as possible.

PARKING / TRANSPORTATION:

Our venue is at our home, located in a residential neighborhood. There will be street parking available but space will be limited (unless you want to park around the block and walk). That being said, We encourage guests to share rides or take Lyft / Uber to avoid congestion in the neighborhood. Also, as much as possible, please only park on one side of the street as a precaution, as the streets are narrow and we want first responders to be able to get through in the event of an emergency.

We also ask that everyone drive carefully through the neighborhood, keeping an eye out for children at play, people walking dogs, etc.
